Count It All Joy

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” (James 1:2-4)

Yesterday while driving I heard the song “Count It All Joy” by Shannon Wexelberg.  What an encouragement!  It is based on James 1:2-4, and the truths of several other scriptures as well.  It was a fresh reminder to me, delivered through song, of God’s faithfulness to us, His children; a reminder that His desire is that we would reach out to Him when we’re facing difficulties and struggles.  Lord, thank-You for Shannon Wexelberg and her encouraging song.  And thank-You for the wonderful gift of music - to hear it, to sing / play it, to experience it.  May we ever live to bring Glory to You!

Count It All Joy, by Shannon Wexelberg (verse 1)

Blessed is the one
for the sake of the Son
who stands through the fire and the flood
he will receive a reward from the King
a crown for a victory won

so let’s make a choice
to stand up and rejoice
steadfast whatever may come
to stand and believe
that the Lord will complete
the wonderful work He’s begun

Count it all joy
When we face many trials
When we suffer for righteousness sake

Count it all joy
For like gold in the fire
Every test is refining our faith

Count it all joy
Count it all joy
